ABOUT
The Play Therapy Training Institute was founded in 1986 to offer educational programs in the field of Play Therapy. Its mission is to help professionals develop a subspecialty in Play Therapy.
The Play Therapy Training Institute offers a variety of Play Therapy seminars, webinars and online courses to psychologists, play therapists, counselors, social workers, nurses and other mental health professionals. For students who wish to take a large number of seminars (usually over a number of years), a Certificate Program in Play Therapy is offered.
TRAINING SITE
All the Play Therapy Seminars will be held at the office of The Play Therapy Training Institute, 666 Plainsboro Road, Suite 416, Plainsboro, New Jersey 08536, (609)448-2145, located off of the New Jersey Turnpike at exit 8A. Registration for each seminar will be held in the front office between 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. on the days scheduled. Bagels and coffee will be provided. Training room temperature may fluctuate. Please dress comfortably and bring a sweater or jacket into the building with you. An exhibit of Play Therapy books will be available.
NONDISCRIMINATION POLICY
We welcome participants of any race, color, national/ethnic origin, age, religious creed, sex, sexual orientation, or disabling condition, and accord everyone the same rights, privileges, programs, and activities. We do not discriminate and we will make any reasonable accommodation to ensure that workshops are accessible. We welcome personal helpers/caregivers/interpreters as well.
CONTINUING EDUCATION
The Play Therapy Training Institute is an Approved Provider for the Association for Play Therapy. (APT Approved Provider 95-002). Continuing education credits will be awarded to participants who attend each entire workshop. Partial credit cannot be given for late arrivals or early departures. No exceptions can be made to this policy. Play Therapy credit may not be awarded to non-mental health professionals. Direct questions about registration and workshops to 609-448-2145.
CANCELLATION POLICY
To cancel your seminar/webinar reservation, we must receive your notice NO LATER than 15 days before the seminar/webinar date. All cancellations and changes to other workshops will be subject to a $35.00 administrative charge per seminar.
