In this experiential workshop, participants will learn strategies for using story techniques, including the Mutual Storytelling, the disorder book, narrative techniques and other types to facilitate play therapy with children and adolescents. The participants will be guided through designing individual therapeutic metaphors in storytelling for specific clients and disorders. The use of Bibliotherapy will also be incorporated. Case studies will be used to illustrate through play therapy.

-Define what a Metaphor is in Play Therapy
-Connect with personal metaphors to understand how they are used
-Practice the creation of metaphors and play therapy’s use
-Incorporate metaphorical storytelling for several childhood disorders
-Create a therapeutic board game to use in play therapy session.
